Lillian Elizabeth is here!

For some of you out there that do not know, Lilli has arrived early! She was born at 33 weeks and 3 days due to me getting severe preeclampsia. I was fine one week and the next week I was all swollen up, gained 10lbs and had blood pressure through the roof. I was put on at home bed rest for 2 days and then admitted to the hospital where they had to take her via c section on 9/24. She was sent to the NICU where she spent a week and half. We were very lucky that it was a short stay. She could breath and eat on her own. At birth she weighed 4 lbs and 14 oz and was 19in long. She is now in the 5lbs weight category! I am still having BP issues and are on meds, hoping to be off of them soon. We are home and loving every minute of it. She was daddy's girl before she was born, but now she just has him wrapped around her little fingers. She is truly our miracle baby!
In the whole chaos of things my dad was moved out of the hospital and into therapy. He is doing well and improving each day. It is still a long road ahead, but we are hoping Lilli gets him through it. We are heading to NJ in two weeks so he can meet is first grandchild. It is not exactly how we all had it planned out, but in the first time since August we will all be there as a family and I have part of my dad back, plus my beautiful daughter that we have been waiting so long for. I want to thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers you have been sending us. We could not of done it alone.
I will try to update once a month with pictures of our little Lilli Bear!
Much love,

August

It has been awhile since I have posted and the summer has gone by so fast with many happenings.
We have traveled to NC and SC to see family and friends, Megan and her family came to visit, and I just tried to stay cool during this summer with my growing belly.
In the beginning of August my mom threw a great baby shower for me and it was great to see everyone! Unfortunately our world was turned upside down the next day when my dad suffered a brain bleed and still is in the ICU in Atlantic City. He is recovering very slowly and we have had some setbacks. I had to go back to Va. last week to start school, which is not fun being 7 months pregnant and away from my parents. Todd and I are heading back to NJ for an extended Labor Day weekend and are just praying things get better. The baby is doing well and I am not stressing her out, which is also a concern for everyone.
Just wanted to give you an update, sorry it is short and not full of details. I hope the next time I post that I have better news.

Our miracle is a GIRL!

Todd and I found out today that we are having a sweet little girl (Todd can only hope she stays sweet!) We are very excited to know what our little miracle is, the more important thing is that she is growing well and all looks good so far. I posted some pictures from a wedding two weeks ago, I have a little bump! I am now 5 months along and feeling great!
School is out tomorrow and we are headed to NJ for my best friends wedding. Todd is working for a company that maintains foreclosed homes and seems to being enjoying it. I am looking forward towards the summer for a little R&R, but as usual the Prohammer's are busy with something here and there! I hope you enjoy your warm weather and I will keep you posted on our little girl.

Our Miracle

After four long years and many procedures Todd and I are proud, grateful and blessed to announce that we are having a baby! We are so happy and excited for our next journey and cannot wait to see what is in store for us.
I am 8 weeks along and we have seen the baby and the heartbeat twice and it is amazing how much it grows each time. I have good days and bad days and the bad days really take me down and out and make me realize what my body is supplying to our little miracle. I tried posting the one ultrasound picture we had taken today, but it didn't come out that great.
We will be back and forth to Jersey over the next few months for Easter and weddings. As of right now we are still in Va. and probably will stay here as long as I have a job, our school budget is tough also, but better then Jersey.
We are very grateful for our family and friends who have supported us through this tough process and now we can't wait to rejoice with them.

Hope you all are doing well.

2010

It is the end of January and we had a great visit in NJ over Christmas. Now I am just trying to get back into the swing of things which is hard with the weather we have had that messes up our school days!

Just posting some pictures that were taken over the holidays.

There is nothing to exciting to report, so this is short but sweet!
Hope you are enjoying 2010!

Merry Christmas 2009

Happy Holidays to all!

The Prohammer's are wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
It will be a year on 12/20 that we moved into our house, so we were very excited to have Christmas in it this year instead of moving in and then heading to NJ!
We will be in NJ for Christmas and are looking forward to seeing our family and friends.
You will see Espn and Oreo taking their famous picture by the tree, such good doggies! We hope you are all well and enjoy the season!

Much love,

It's Fall y'all!

It's the middle of September and it has been a crazy few weeks!

I am teaching first grade and the kiddies are great all 22 of them! School has me super busy and I feel like I don't there sometimes, but it is getting better.

As usual it is never a dull moment with the Prohammer's. Last week Todd was let go from the golf course. It was bit of a surprise, and we are wondering how are we gonna do it now on my salary, but for some reason we are both happy. Why are we happy? Todd was not so pleased working there anymore, but knew he had to stay there until another opening. He is now home, which is great for us to spend time together since our schedules could never match. We are just trying to make the best of it. The house is still for sale and he is applying for jobs everywhere, so in the long run, our goal is still to come back to NJ.
The fall weather is sort of coming, it is still warm here 75-85, but no humidity! This past weekend we went to the Blue Ridge Parkway to check out the views. We saw falling water cascades and part of the Appalachian Trail. Of course football has started and so has Todd's Sunday Giants rituals. We are also looking forward to doing some cool town festivities in the next few weekends since we can now do them together. We hope you are all doing well! We miss you!
