MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!

As of right now we were told we could move in next weekend! That is three days before we leave for New Jersey! We are so excited and can't believe how fast it has been and how great the house looks. Todd, Tommy and I went this weekend to take some pictures and measure windows. You still can't see the wood floors and all the details due to the painters being there, but I think we will be busy the next few weeks to take and post pictures. I promise once we are moved in I will take nice pictures and you won't see all of the construction!
Todd and I have a busy schedule of seeing family and friends over our vacation and can't wait to see everyone. Then hopefully as planned we will be able to spend 2009 in our new house.
The weather has been so up and down with really cold, rainy, and then in the 50's! The dogs were spoiled and had to days straight at the park were I didn't have to bundle up like a snowball.

Wishing y'all a great holiday! Oh yeah- We are no longer a lot number, our address is:

Happy Thanksgiving!

It has been a month since I posted and the house has changed so much! As you see in the pictures you can see siding, decks, drywall, doors, and windows! As of right now it looks like we will be in before Christmas and Erin and Tommy can have their home back! School is going well and the kids are already getting hyper with the holiday season. Todd is doing well and wondering how cold the winter will be and how much golf will be played! This month I went to NC to see my family and we stayed right on the beach! Todd's mom came down to visit and celebrate help Todd's birthday. It has been a busy and productive month and now it is almost December! We will be home for Christmas and are looking forward to seeing many family and friends. The holidays make you realize just how home sick you can get and how much you need those long time friends and good old family.

Wishing you a happy holiday season!

Is that a house we see?

Hello y'all! October is almost over and we finally have construction that looks like a house. We are now finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We have picked our siding, shingles, kitchen cabinets, bathroom tile, and are looking at wood flooring. So many decisions, but it is cool that we can actually do this and when it is done we can say it is ours. The pictures that I posted are from the beginning of the basement to the frame. It is hard to see what you are actually looking at, but they are pictures of the first floor (dining, living, and kitchen) it is all open and flows. From the upstairs I took a picture of the view from our bedroom. You can also see the front of the house ( and no we can't keep the dump truck, Haha) and the back of the house.
Along with the house we have been enjoying the fall weather and the leaves are starting to change which makes the lake look so beautiful and peaceful. The dogs have been loving the trails that we frequent weekly. How quickly the month has gone by. I am heading to N.C. see my brother in November and the parents are coming down for Thanksgiving. We all are keeping busy at the Hunt household without killing each other and I am thankful for Erin and Tommy for putting up with us for so long!

Until next update,

Settling in!

September has come and is alsmost gone! I guess you can say we are actually settling in. I love my first grade class. They keep me busy and I am usually tired and ready for bed at 8pm! Todd is still working hard, but enjoying it.
This past week we settled on our land and these are our views, hopefully soon we can show you a house being built. We need lots of good weather to keep the progress going smoothly.
The weekend has brought us great fall weather and Todd and I took the dogs to the trails. We let the dogs off the leashes since it was not busy. They behaved great and stayed with us, until we got close to the water. We didn't think they would go in since we were not in suits and throwing a ball in. We were wrong! Oreo the true lab went straight in and didn't care if we were in with her. I think we have created a monster! We hope you are all doing well. We are enjoying Virginia, but think about all of you often. Love, Kelly, Todd, Espn, and Oreo

What a month!

Holy cow!! Wow, I don't even know where to start. This month Todd and I have been blessed with many options and decisions.

The month started out with me getting a teaching job in first grade. So far I love the district and the kids! We finally sold our house in Jersey and decided to buy land and build on the lake here in Virginia! I know it is crazy right?? So on top of all of that we still have our everyday life, plus I went to S.C. to visit Becky and we had family and friends visit. Oh yeah and Todd, I and the dogs just did a marathon trip to Jersey this past weekend!

So with all of that I am tired and will post a few pics. I will post later on when the dust settles with the process of our house. I hope you all enjoyed your summer, because my summer has been over for a few weeks now, the south starts early y'all!

Take care and we miss you all,

Kelly, Todd, Espn and Oreo

The month comes to an end.

July is almost over and I have officially have been living in Virginia for a month, how time flies. The end of this month was very busy. I went to see my brother in N.C., where I got to put my toes in the sand for thee days. (that is heaven to me!) I took the dogs with me so we had 4 dogs at my brother's house. It was a little like a zoo, but it was fun!
Erin's sister and her family came down from Jersey, so we spent our days at the lake and eating! It was great seeing them and us girls will remember never to play poker with Todd again!
For all of you that really know Todd and his issues with water, he actually went in the lake twice! He knew it would make me happy and the second time him and Oreo swam around. Oreo had so much fun in the water while Espn went in up to his chest and barked at the wake from the boats. We had a lot of fun, but now Oreo is suffering from water tail (pulled muscle in her tail from swimming so much!) She should recover just fine, but I am not sure if Todd will let me take her swimming again!
So July is heading out and in comes August. I will be visiting Becky in S.C. , Reggie and Todd's sister and family are coming for a visit so you know I will post again. I hope all is enjoying the summer! We miss you, Kelly, Todd, Espn & Oreo

Water and more water!

Well it has been over a week since I arrived in Virginia and who would of thought that Espn would be the first one that Virginia agrees with! In the past week Todd and I ate a nice romantic dinner on the lake and then saw some fireworks, hiked in the state park, and I swam in the lake and rode a jet ski! The biggest surprise is that Espn our wussy dog has jumped in the lake and had to be dragged out because he would of stayed in there forever if we let him. In the meantime he has learned to stay away from the cows and he is getting use to the cat (obsession of watching was annoying.)

We have checked out some homes in the area and it is amazing how opened the floor plans are and all of the windows to let nature in! All we need is our house to sell and then maybe we can leave Erin and Tommy alone! So far so good in Virginia, we are grateful for Erin and Tommy and will never be able to thank them enough!

Chat with you in the next entry!

Present life in Va.!

Here are some pictures of our views so far. I also included Reilly in the pool and Espn and Oreo's "cousin dog" Belle.

Past NJ life!

Happy 4th everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. We had a good start here on the 4th and then we had a thunderstorm. Today is muggy and overcast, sounds like NJ huh? I am attaching some photos of our last days in NJ with family and friends, plus photos of where we are staying (Moneta, Va.). Erin and Tommy's house is located a curvy 40 min drive from Ronoake, we are in a place called Smith Mountain lake. It is beautiful, I have water and wilderness surrounding me. I am just missing the Target that use to be 5mins from me!

We are here!!

We made the 6 hr trip on Monday and the dogs did great! We are getting settled in and getting use to our new temporary home. Espn and Oreo have made friends with their "cousin dog" Belle and have also been chased by the cows that live in the yard behind us. Yes I know what you are thinking, Kelly and cows?? Todd is working hard at work and making a difference! I plan to post pictures this weekend of our area. Hope all is doing well!

Moving South

The house is empty and we are heading south to good old Virginia! I decided to create this blog to keep you updated on our new adventures. Leaving New Jersey will be one of the hardest challenges for Todd and I, but we are still on the east coast of the U.S. and only a 6 hour drive away. We are looking forward to starting our new life, the question is if Erin and Tommy are ready for us and the two dogs to live with them for awhile!
I hope you check in every once and awhile. Look for some pictures to be posted once we start exploring our new home.
Talk to y'all later.
